Indicator: B8.3.1.1.1 - Identify parts of a mammalian tooth

By the end of the lesson, learners can:

  1. Label the crown, neck, and root of a mammalian tooth on a diagram.
  2. Describe the location of each part of a tooth in relation to the gum line.
  3. Explain the function of each part: crown, neck, and root.
  4. Identify the materials that make up each part, such as enamel, dentine, cement, and pulp.
  5. Distinguish between the visible part of a tooth and the parts hidden beneath the gum.
