Learning Objectives
Indicator: B9.3.1.1.2 - Identify similar and congruent triangles and use the knowledge to solve related problems
By the end of the lesson, learners can:
- State the conditions for two triangles to be similar (corresponding angles equal, corresponding sides in proportion).
- State the conditions for two triangles to be congruent (corresponding sides and angles exactly equal).
- Identify similar and congruent triangles in given diagrams by comparing angles and side lengths.
- Solve for missing angles in similar and congruent triangles using the properties of corresponding angles.
- Solve for missing side lengths in similar triangles using proportional reasoning.
