Indicator: B9.3.1.1.3 - Identify and explain ways in which people with diverse religious backgrounds can live peacefully

By the end of the lesson, learners can:

  1. State at least five practical ways people of different religious backgrounds can live peacefully together.
  2. Explain why learning about another person’s religion helps build understanding and harmony.
  3. Describe the benefits to a community when people of diverse religions live in peace.
  4. Discuss respectfully the value of participating in another religious group’s festivals or ceremonies.
  5. Demonstrate group skills by working together to present findings on peaceful coexistence.

E.g.

2. In groups, learners discuss the need for people of diverse religious backgrounds to live in harmony and present it in class.
