Learning Objectives

Indicator: B2.2.4.1.1 - Explain the need to accept and adapt to a change in the total number of people, as a responsible citizen

By the end of the lesson, learners can:

  1. Explain what it means for the number of people in a place to increase or decrease, using their own family and class as examples.
  2. Identify at least three ways a change in family or class size affects daily life, such as sharing space, food, or attention.
  3. Demonstrate through role play the challenges that come with a large family size and suggest at least two positive ways to cope.
  4. Represent the number of people in their household using a simple bar chart.
  5. Describe and practise at least two responsible citizen skills, such as tolerance, sharing, and respecting the rights of others, when adapting to a change in population.
