Indicator: B3.2.2.1.1 - Explain how to make and maintain a garden
By the end of the lesson, learners can:
- State at least three reasons why gardens are important in the home, school and community.
- Identify and name the basic tools and materials needed to make a garden.
- Describe the steps for preparing a garden bed, from clearing the land to planting seeds.
- Demonstrate how to maintain a garden by watering, weeding and protecting plants.
- Explain why regular care is needed for plants to grow well.
