Learning Objectives
Indicator: B8.5.3.1.2 - Plan and make building artefacts
By the end of the lesson, learners can:
- Describe the properties of cement, sand, and stones as building materials.
- Explain at least three reasons for choosing a particular type of material for a building project.
- Prepare a chart showing the properties of common building materials.
- Plan and construct a mock-up of a simple building project, such as a house, bridge, or classroom block, using local materials.
- Display their completed mock-ups and appraise their own and peers’ work using simple criteria.
