Learning Objectives

Indicator: B2.5.1.1.2 - Know the need for keeping classrooms and school compound clean

By the end of the lesson, learners can:

  1. Identify at least three areas of the classroom that need regular cleaning, such as the floor, windows, ceiling and sitting areas.
  2. Observe and describe whether the classroom and school compound are clean or dirty, giving reasons for their conclusion.
  3. Explain in their own words at least two reasons why a clean classroom and school compound help prevent sickness.
  4. State how a clean compound destroys hiding places for mosquitoes, snakes and wall geckos.
  5. Demonstrate proper ways of disposing of rubbish in the classroom and school compound.
