Learning Objectives

Indicator: B4.2.1.1.2 - Determine the missing element(s) in a given table or chart

By the end of the lesson, learners can:

  1. Identify missing numbers in a given table or chart by examining the pattern in rows and columns.
  2. Apply the identified pattern (addition, subtraction, or multiplication) to find single missing elements.
  3. Determine multiple missing elements in a table or chart using consistent reasoning.
  4. Explain the reasoning behind each missing element they find, justifying their answers clearly.
  5. Complete a partially filled multiplication chart by using the relationship between rows and columns.
