Learning Objectives

Indicator: B4.2.1.3.2 - Identify and extend the patterns in a table or chart to solve a given problem.

By the end of the lesson, learners can:

  1. Identify the rule or relationship that generates a pattern in a given table or chart.
  2. Extend a table or chart by three or more correct entries using the identified pattern.
  3. Compare two related tables or charts and state one similarity and one difference between their patterns.
  4. Use an extended table to answer a word problem about a real-life situation.
  5. Justify their extended entries by explaining the rule they used in their own words.
