Learning Objectives

Indicator: B9.2.3.2.1 - Apply movement concepts, principles, and strategies to perform intermediate level stick and ball sports (e.g., cricket, rounders, baseball, etc.)

By the end of the lesson, learners can:

  1. Demonstrate correct grip, stance, and swing techniques for batting in a stick and ball sport (cricket or rounders).
  2. Apply the principles of timing, follow-through, and body positioning when striking a moving or stationary ball.
  3. Execute fielding and bowling/pitching strategies using adapted equipment and modified rules to ensure inclusion of all learners.
  4. Participate in a mini-organised competition, keeping a self-journal record of their performance duration and accuracy estimates.
  5. Collaborate with peers to modify rules and equipment so that every group member can take part successfully.
