Learning Objectives

Indicator: B9.2.3.1.1 - Apply movement concepts, principles and strategies to perform intermediate level ball and racket sports (e.g., table tennis, badminton etc.)

By the end of the lesson, learners can:

  1. Demonstrate correct grip, stance and basic stroke techniques for at least two ball and racket sports (table tennis and badminton) at an intermediate skill level.
  2. Apply movement concepts such as anticipation, court positioning and pacing to return shots successfully during modified rallies.
  3. Adapt rules and equipment (e.g., lower net, slower shuttlecock, larger racket) to include peers of varying abilities in small-group play.
  4. Create and organise a mini round-robin competition applying fair play, scoring and rotation rules.
  5. Record their rally duration, successful shot count and personal observations in a self-journal to track their physical activity involvement.
