Learning Objectives
Indicator: B9.2.3.3.2 - Apply movement concepts, principles and strategies in performing intermediate level martial art (e.g., judo, karate, etc.)
By the end of the lesson, learners can:
- demonstrate at least three intermediate-level martial art techniques (e.g., front kick, reverse punch, forward roll) with correct body alignment and control.
- apply the movement principles of balance, base of support, and weight transfer when performing basic judo and karate movements.
- adapt martial art rules and equipment to include classmates of varying skill levels during paired practice activities.
- organise and participate in a mini martial art demonstration or friendly competition that shows confidence, empowerment, and collaboration.
- record an estimate of the duration of their practice session in their self-journal with an honest reflection on their effort.
