Learning Objectives
Indicator: B9.2.3.2.2 - Apply movement concepts, principles, and strategies to perform intermediate level hand and ball sports (e.g., volleyball, netball, etc.)
By the end of the lesson, learners can:
- Demonstrate correct overhead pass (set), forearm pass (bump), and underhand serve techniques in volleyball with proper body positioning and footwork.
- Apply offensive and defensive strategies such as positioning, communication, and court coverage during modified volleyball and netball games.
- Adapt rules and equipment (e.g., lower net height, softer ball, larger court markings) to include classmates of varying abilities in game play.
- Track and record their personal performance estimates (e.g., number of successful serves, duration of continuous rally) in their self-journal.
- Organise and officiate a mini hand-and-ball competition showing confidence, teamwork, and fair play.
