Learning Objectives
Indicator: B8.2.3.2.1 - Apply movement concepts, principles and strategies to perform beginning-intermediate level stick and ball sports (e.g., cricket, rounders, chaskele etc.)
By the end of the lesson, learners can:
- Demonstrate correct grip, stance and striking technique for stick and ball sports, including cricket, rounders and chaskele, at beginning-intermediate level.
- Apply movement concepts such as timing, force production, and follow-through to improve the accuracy and distance of their striking.
- Use adapted rules and modified equipment (e.g., larger balls, shorter bats or sticks) to include all classmates in small-group games.
- Organise and participate in a small-group stick and ball competition, applying basic fielding and batting strategies to score runs.
- Record an estimate of their performance duration in their self-journal and set one personal goal for improving involvement in physical activity.
