Learning Objectives

Indicator: B8.2.3.3.3 - Apply movement concepts, principles, and strategies in performing beginning-intermediate level traditional wrestling (e.g., arm wrestling, abotri etc.).

By the end of the lesson, learners can:

  1. Demonstrate correct body positioning and balance techniques used in beginning-level traditional wrestling, including proper stance, grip, and foot placement.
  2. Apply movement principles (balance, force, and leverage) to execute at least two basic wrestling techniques safely with a partner.
  3. Use adapted rules and safe equipment to participate in a small-group traditional wrestling competition with classmates.
  4. Record their estimated practice duration and performance observations in their self-journal to track their physical activity involvement.
  5. Work collaboratively in pairs and groups to teach peers a wrestling technique and to organise a mini-competition following agreed rules.
