Learning Objectives

Indicator: B7.2.3.3.3

By the end of the lesson, learners can:

  1. Demonstrate safe beginning level abotri and arm wrestling techniques, including correct stance, grip, and respect for the stop signal.
  2. Apply the movement concepts of space, dynamics, and relationship to create effective attacking and defensive positions in traditional wrestling.
  3. Use the principles of specificity, adaptation, and progression to plan and reflect on their own traditional wrestling practice over the week.
  4. Make and justify tactical decisions during short wrestling bouts, explaining why a particular move succeeded or failed.
  5. Organise and participate in a mini round-robin abotri competition that demonstrates confidence, empowerment, collaboration, and conflict resolution.
