Learning Objectives
Indicator: B7.2.3.2.2 - Apply movement concepts, principles, and strategies to perform beginning level hand and ball sports (e.g., volleyball, netball, etc.) to develop communication and collaboration.
By the end of the lesson, learners can:
- Demonstrate correct hand and ball techniques (bump pass, set pass, chest pass) for beginning level volleyball and netball
- Apply movement concepts such as space, dynamics, and relationship when positioning themselves during small-sided hand and ball games
- Use the principles of adaptation, progression, and specificity to adjust their performance based on their own pace and ability
- Communicate effectively with teammates using agreed signals and calls during mini-competitions
- Work collaboratively in small groups to create and run a mini volleyball or netball tournament, recording their performance in a self-journal
