Learning Objectives

Indicator: B7.2.3.1.1

By the end of the lesson, learners can:

  1. Apply movement concepts such as space, dynamics and relationships when performing beginning level badminton, table tennis and tennis skills (e.g., serving, forehand striking and returning).
  2. Demonstrate an understanding of the training principles of specificity, adaptation and progression by practising ball and racket skills with appropriate individual pacing.
  3. Use adapted rules and modified equipment to take part in inclusive ball and racket games where all learners can participate successfully.
  4. Create and organise a mini ball and racket competition in small groups, showing communication and collaboration with teammates and opponents.
  5. Record an estimate of duration or a measure of performance (e.g., number of successful serves or rallies) in a personal self-journal to track involvement in physical activity.
