Learning Objectives
Indicator: B7.2.3.1.2
By the end of the lesson, learners can:
- Demonstrate correct sprinting technique, including starting stance, arm drive, and proper running form, over a distance of 30 to 50 metres.
- Perform a standing long jump and a basic chest throw (shot put style) using the movement concepts of space and dynamics.
- Apply the training principles of progression, specificity, and adaptation when practising athletics events at their own pace.
- Work in pairs or small groups to organise a mini athletics competition (sprint, jump, and throw stations) and record estimated times and distances in their self-journals.
- Use adapted equipment and modified rules to include all classmates, including those with varying abilities, in the athletics activities.
