Learning Objectives
Indicator: B9.1.1.1.1
By the end of the lesson, learners can:
- Define unbalanced or poor diet and list at least three examples of nutritional problems that affect sports performance.
- Explain how at least two specific nutritional problems (such as iron deficiency, dehydration, or low carbohydrate intake) affect the body during physical activity.
- Identify foods commonly eaten in Ghana that contribute to a balanced sports diet and those that contribute to poor performance.
- Demonstrate, through role play, the visible effects of an unbalanced diet during physical activity.
- Work collaboratively in groups to discuss and present findings on nutritional problems in sports.
