Indicator: B8.1.2.2.3 - Create and solve story problems involving decimals on the four basic operations.

By the end of the lesson, learners can:

  1. Solve one-step and multi-step story problems involving addition and subtraction of decimals up to 3 decimal places.
  2. Solve story problems involving multiplication and division of decimals up to 3 decimal places.
  3. Extract relevant numerical data from a table to solve word problems involving the four basic operations on decimals.
  4. Create their own original story problems involving decimals and the four basic operations, with correct solutions.
  5. Present and explain their story problems and solutions clearly to peers, using correct mathematical language.
