Learning Objectives

Indicator: B4.3.3.3.3 - State dates of events and record calendar dates in a variety of formats

By the end of the lesson, learners can:

  1. State the full date of a given event by reading it correctly from a calendar, including the day of the week, the date, the month and the year.
  2. Record the same calendar date in at least four different formats, including written format (Tuesday, 28th August 2018), short written format (28th August, 2018), abbreviated format (28-Aug-18), and numeric formats (28/08/2018 and 28.08.18).
  3. Identify and state the calendar dates of at least four major Ghanaian national holidays from a calendar or class chart.
  4. Collect, organise and present their own dates of birth in a table and on a simple timeline.
