Learning Objectives
Indicator: B4.3.3.3.2 - Use clock to measure time to complete simple events in minutes and seconds
By the end of the lesson, learners can:
- Read the minute hand and second hand on an analogue clock to measure the duration of simple events.
- Use a digital watch or clock to record the time taken for short events in seconds.
- Measure the time taken for classroom and everyday activities using both analogue and digital clocks.
- Record and compare the durations of simple events, stating whether they took more or fewer minutes or seconds.
- Justify their choice of a clock (analogue or digital) for measuring events of different lengths.

(mostly minutes) E.g. 2 Use the digital watch to record say the time it takes to walk from the teacher's table to the cupboard. (mostly seconds) E.g. 3 Ask pupils to tell the time it takes to complete activities like bathing, brushing teeth, ironing a shirt, cooking rice, etc.
