Learning Objectives
Indicator: B5.3.2.1.2 - Calculate perimeter of given shapes in centimetres and metres.
By the end of the lesson, learners can:
- Define perimeter as the total distance around a 2-D shape.
- Calculate the perimeter of rectangles, squares and triangles by adding the lengths of all sides.
- Convert between centimetres and metres when stating perimeter answers.
- Solve word problems involving perimeter in real-life situations.
- Justify their answers by showing clearly how they added the side lengths.
