Learning Objectives
Indicator: B3.1.2.1.2 - Demonstrate understanding that an object is made of one or more materials
By the end of the lesson, learners can:
- Distinguish between an object and the material or materials it is made from, using examples from the classroom and home.
- Identify at least two different materials that make up a single everyday object, such as a pencil, mobile phone, or football.
- Sort a collection of objects according to the materials they are made from, such as wood, metal, glass, plastic, and cloth.
- Explain in simple words that most objects we use every day are made of more than one material.
- Work in small groups to list objects and name the materials used to make them, presenting their findings to the class.
