Learning Objectives

Indicator: B3.2.3.1.1 - Sketch the shape of the classroom and indicate the position of the teacher’s desk

By the end of the lesson, learners can:

  1. Sketch the shape of the classroom from a bird’s eye view, showing the walls as lines.
  2. Indicate the position of the teacher’s desk (Tt) on their classroom sketch.
  3. Mark where they sit on the sketch using a small round shape labelled “Me”.
  4. Label the whiteboard (Bb/Wb) and cupboard (C) on their sketches using the standard abbreviations.
  5. Explain why sketches use simple symbols and abbreviations to record where things are.
