Learning Objectives
Indicator: 3.3.1.LI.1 - Describe the characteristic features and life processes of the Wall gecko, Tilapia, and Domestic fowl
By the end of the lesson, learners can:
- Identify and name the external characteristic features of the wall gecko, tilapia, and domestic fowl from live specimens, preserved specimens, or clear labelled diagrams.
- Describe the key life processes (feeding, respiration, movement, reproduction, and response to stimuli) of each of the three organisms in their own words.
- Compare at least two structural features of each organism that show how it is adapted to its habitat.
- Use correct scientific terminology to describe observable features, such as scales, webbed feet, adhesive toe pads, beak, comb, and lateral line.
- Work collaboratively in groups to observe, record, and present accurate descriptions of the features of at least one of the three organisms.
