Learning Objectives
Indicator: B9.5.2.3.1 - Explain the nature of fungal diseases with special emphasis on Ringworm/candidiasis/fingernail, and toe nail infection, their causes, symptoms, effects on humans and its prevention
By the end of the lesson, learners can:
- Define fungal diseases and explain the general nature of fungi as living organisms that cause infections in humans.
- Describe the causes, symptoms, and effects of ringworm, candidiasis, and nail infections on the human body.
- Explain the modes of transmission of fungal diseases from person to person and across communities.
- State and demonstrate at least five preventive measures against fungal diseases.
- Design and produce an educational poster on the incidence and control of a named fungal disease for their community.
