Learning Objectives

Indicator: 3.1.1.LI.2 - Explain how to cope with stress and anxiety

By the end of the lesson, learners can:

  1. Define stress and anxiety in their own words and distinguish between the two concepts.
  2. Identify at least five common sources of stress and anxiety for Senior High School students in Ghana.
  3. Explain at least four healthy coping strategies for managing stress and anxiety, including both physical and psychological approaches.
  4. Demonstrate a coping technique (such as deep breathing or positive self-talk) and explain when to use it.
  5. Conduct a short community interview and present findings on how different people manage stress, showing respect for diverse cultural practices.
