Learning Objectives
Indicator: 1.1.5.LI.2 - Wellness, healthy and unhealthy lifestyle (Concept of wellness and healthy lifestyle)
By the end of the lesson, learners can:
- Define wellness and distinguish it from the broader concept of health covered in the previous lesson.
- List at least five key elements of a healthy lifestyle.
- Identify common unhealthy lifestyle behaviours common among young people in Ghana and explain how each harms their health.
- Work collaboratively in mixed-gender and mixed-ability groups to research and present information on wellness using digital tools.
- Reflect on their own lifestyle choices and identify at least one personal change they can make to move toward better wellness.

Collaborative learning/Group work: Through an interactive session, lead the discussion on wellness and healthy and unhealthy lifestyles. Assessment (1.1.5.AS.2): Level 2: Describe the key elements of a healthy lifestyle. Level 3: Discuss negative behaviours that can result in bad health amongst young people.
