Learning Objectives
Indicator: B9.3.4.1.3 - Prepare different types of manure.
By the end of the lesson, learners can:
- Sort and clean plant and animal waste materials according to their suitability for composting.
- Construct a simple compost heap or pit using layers of green and dry materials.
- Demonstrate the curing process by turning and moistening the compost pile correctly.
- Identify signs that compost is ready for use in the garden.
- Work collaboratively in groups to produce manure from available waste materials.
