Learning Objectives
Indicator: B9.4.1.1.1 - List the ways to conserve energy. Examples: ironing in bulk, using energy efficient appliances and switching off appliances when not in use.
By the end of the lesson, learners can:
- Define energy conservation in their own words and explain why it matters in everyday life.
- List at least six practical ways to conserve energy at home and in school, including ironing in bulk, using energy efficient appliances, and switching off appliances when not in use.
- Classify energy conservation strategies into categories such as changing habits, upgrading appliances, and using natural resources.
- Justify which energy conservation methods are most suitable for different household situations in Ghana, giving reasons for their choices.
- Speak clearly to explain at least two energy conservation strategies to a group, giving a simple narrative example for each.
