Indicator: B8.4.1.2.1 - Describe renewable and non-renewable forms of energy
By the end of the lesson, learners can:
- Define renewable and non-renewable energy sources in their own words, giving at least one difference between them.
- Classify wind, coal, hydro, crude oil, natural gas, solar, biomass and biogas as either renewable or non-renewable energy sources.
- Explain, with examples, why some energy sources are described as renewable and others as non-renewable.
- Describe, in at least two steps, how energy can be produced from a renewable source such as the sun or wind.
- Justify a viewpoint on which energy sources Ghana should rely on most in the future, using evidence from the lesson.
