Learning Objectives

Indicator: B2.4.2.2.2 - Investigate the function of batteries in electronic devices

By the end of the lesson, learners can:

  1. Identify at least five household electronic appliances that operate on batteries.
  2. Explain what happens to an electronic toy or device when its battery is removed or dead.
  3. Match at least three named electronic appliances with the functions they perform.
  4. Build a simple paper circuit using a graphite pencil, battery, and LED, and explain the role the battery plays in making the LED glow.
  5. Draw and colour one electronic gadget of their choice that uses a battery.
