Learning Objectives

Indicator: 3.3.2.LI.3

By the end of the lesson, learners can:

  1. Explain at least four roles of transport in the socio-economic development of Ghana, using specific examples of roads, railways, ports and airways.
  2. Explain at least four roles of communication in the socio-economic development of Ghana, citing examples such as mobile money, radio, television and the internet.
  3. Analyse at least five challenges facing the transport and communication sector in Ghana, and propose possible solutions to each challenge.
  4. Assess the relative importance of transport and communication compared to tourism and trade, which were studied in the previous two weeks.
  5. Demonstrate collaboration and social awareness by working in inclusive mixed groups and respectfully considering the views of all members, especially vulnerable ones.
