Learning Objectives

Indicator: B2.2.1.2.1 - Identify sources of light to the earth

By the end of the lesson, learners can:

  • Name at least five different sources of light they see at home, at school, and in their environment.
  • Group sources of light into two categories: natural sources (from nature) and artificial sources (made by people).
  • Draw and label two sources of light found in their local environment.
  • Demonstrate how blocking light creates shadows using a torch and cardboard.
  • Explain what would happen on earth if there were no light at all.

- Designs an activity to block light from a torch using a cardboard to illustrate the importance of light.
- Discuss with learners: What will happen if there is no light on earth?
