Learning Objectives

Indicator: B2.5.2.1.1 - Identify causes and prevention of ringworm

By the end of the lesson, learners can:

  1. Describe what ringworm looks like when shown a picture or a real example of a person with the condition.
  2. State at least two causes of ringworm, including contact with an infected person or animal and sharing personal items.
  3. Name at least three ways to prevent ringworm, such as keeping the skin clean and dry, not sharing personal items, and avoiding contact with infected people or animals.
  4. Explain why ringworm spreads easily among family members and classmates who share items.
  5. Sing or recite a short rhyme about preventing ringworm.
