Indicator: B8.5.2.1.3 - Write Design Specifications

By the end of the lesson, learners can:

  1. Define design specifications and explain their purpose in the design process.
  2. Develop and write clear design specifications based on a given design brief and research findings.
  3. Give at least three valid reasons for each specification they develop.
  4. Arrange specifications in logical categories (function, materials, size, cost, appearance, safety).
  5. Use their written specifications to guide the next stage of idea generation.
