Lesson notes

Learning Objectives

Indicator: 1.1.4.LI.1 - Describe the processes in designing.

By the end of the lesson, learners can:

  • List the stages of the design process in the correct sequence from problem identification to final evaluation.
  • Explain the purpose of each stage in the design process using simple, clear language.
  • Apply the design process to describe how a common household problem could be solved step by step.
  • Compare the design process to a real-life scenario to show how each stage connects to the next.
  • Justify why evaluation is an essential final stage in the design process and not merely an optional extra.
