Learning Objectives

Indicator: B7.4.1.1.3 - Organise and present data from a survey into a table and/or chart, and analyse it to solve and/or pose problems.

By the end of the lesson, learners can:

  1. Organise raw data from a survey into a frequency table using tallies, with correct tally marks and frequencies.
  2. Present organised data in an appropriate chart, specifically a bar graph or pie chart, with accurate labelling.
  3. Analyse a frequency table or chart by writing at least two valid conclusions about the data.
  4. Pose at least one relevant question that can be answered using the organised data.
  5. Select and justify the appropriate chart type (bar graph or pie chart) for a given set of data.
