Learning Objectives

Indicator: B2.4.1.2.1 - Draw and interpret concrete graphs and pictographs

By the end of the lesson, learners can:

  1. Draw a concrete graph using real objects to represent data collected from up to 3 categories.
  2. Draw a pictograph using one-to-one correspondence (each picture represents 1 item) to represent data collected.
  3. Read and answer simple questions from a concrete graph or pictograph, including “how many altogether” problems.
  4. Compare the number of items in different categories and state which category has more or fewer items.
  5. Solve take-apart problems by reading a given concrete graph or pictograph.
