Learning Objectives

Indicator: B1.4.1.1.2 - Organise a given set of data into three categories, find the total number of data points and determine how many are in each category and compare the number in any two category

By the end of the lesson, learners can:

Sort a given set of data into three named categories using a tally chart.
Count and record the total number of data points in a set and state how many fall into each of the three categories.
Compare the number of data points in any two categories and state which has more, which has less, or if they are equal.
Represent the organised data in a simple picture graph with three categories.
Answer simple questions about the data by reading the picture graph and explaining their reasoning.
