Learning Objectives

By the end of the lesson, learners can:

Identify and describe the different types of seed beds used in their community (ridges, mounds, flats, and raised beds) and match them to suitable crops.
Select the correct plant part (seeds, seedlings, cuttings, leaves, or roots) for planting different crops on appropriate seed beds.
Demonstrate the correct procedure for planting at least three different crops on three different types of seed beds.
Explain the reasons why different crops are planted on different types of seed beds.
Work in groups to plan and execute a planting activity, communicating their steps clearly to the rest of the class.
