Learning Objectives
Indicator: B3.1.1.1.1 - Use number names and the counting sequence to count and estimate quantities up to 10,000.
By the end of the lesson, learners can:
- Skip count forwards and backwards by 10s, 50s, 100s, 500s, and 1000s from any starting point up to 10,000.
- Identify and correct errors or omissions in a given skip counting sequence.
- Count objects in a collection and select the most appropriate estimate from three given choices, justifying their selection.
- Write numbers up to 1000 in standard form (numerals) when given number names, and write number words for multiples of ten up to 9990.
