Learning Objectives
Indicator: B8.5.4.1.1 - Explain the concept of climate change and its effect on the environment.
By the end of the lesson, learners can:
- Define climate change in their own words as a long-term shift in average weather patterns.
- Identify at least four visible signs of climate change in Ghana and around the world.
- Distinguish between the causes of climate change (both natural and human-made) and its effects on the environment.
- Explain how rising temperatures, changing rainfall patterns and rising sea levels affect farming, water supply and settlements in Ghana.
- Use multiple sources to compile a short report on the causes and effects of climate change and present it to the class.
