Indicator: B9.2.4.2.1 - Describe and select appropriate feed for different domestic and commercial animals
By the end of the lesson, learners can:
- compile a list of at least five feed types commonly consumed by domestic and commercial animals in their local environment
- compare and contrast the characteristics of feed for ruminants, monogastrics, and poultry
- identify named samples of feed and correctly match them to the three animal categories (ruminants, monogastrics, and poultry)
- select appropriate feed for a given animal by justifying their choice based on the animal’s digestive system
