Indicator: B8.2.4.2.1 - Explain the importance of water and animal feed to the growth of animals
By the end of the lesson, learners can:
- List at least four uses of water in the body of an animal, such as digestion, temperature regulation, and waste removal.
- List at least three uses of animal feed, including providing energy, building body tissues, and supporting reproduction.
- Predict and explain what will happen to an animal that does not receive adequate water, giving at least two specific consequences.
- Distinguish between the roles of water and feed by classifying given statements correctly.
- Explain, in their own words, why both water and feed must be provided in the right amounts for healthy growth and reproduction of animals.
