Learning Objectives
Indicator: 3.3.3.LI.1 - Carry out simple maintenance tasks, according to established standards.
By the end of the lesson, learners can:
- Explain the purpose of established standards and regulations that govern aircraft maintenance, including the role of personnel certification.
- Perform at least two simple maintenance tasks (e.g., visual inspection, cleaning, lubrication, fastener check) following a standard procedure.
- Identify and correctly use the appropriate equipment and tools for each simple maintenance task.
- Document completed maintenance work in a logbook format, noting the task, date, tools used, and any findings.
- Analyse a case study of an aviation incident caused by improper maintenance and recommend corrective actions based on established standards.
