Learning Objectives

Indicator: B9.4.5.1.3 - Manufacture simple agricultural tools.

By the end of the lesson, learners can:

  1. Select and prepare appropriate local materials for manufacturing a chosen simple agricultural tool.
  2. Follow a sequence of steps to manufacture at least one simple farm tool, such as a hoe, cutlass, or rake.
  3. Apply safe handling practices when using tools and materials during the manufacturing process.
  4. Test the finished tool for functionality and identify any needed adjustments or repairs.
  5. Evaluate the quality of their manufactured tool and suggest improvements for durability and usability.
