Learning Objectives

Indicator: B8.4.5.1.1 - Show and discuss the use of basic and simple agricultural tools for basic on-farm activities

By the end of the lesson, learners can:

Identify at least eight basic and simple agricultural tools by name and describe their physical features.
Match each agricultural tool to the specific on-farm activity it is used for, giving at least one reason for the match.
Demonstrate the correct handling of at least three agricultural tools and explain the safety precautions associated with their use.
Create a labelled album (drawing or digital) of agricultural tools showing the tool, its name and the activity it performs.
Discuss how the correct choice of a tool makes farm work easier, faster and safer, using examples from their own communities.
