Learning Objectives
Indicator: B8.4.5.1.1 - Show and discuss the use of basic and simple agricultural tools for basic on-farm activities
By the end of the lesson, learners can:
- Identify at least eight basic and simple agricultural tools by name and describe their physical features.
- Match each agricultural tool to the specific on-farm activity it is used for, giving at least one reason for the match.
- Demonstrate the correct handling of at least three agricultural tools and explain the safety precautions associated with their use.
- Create a labelled album (drawing or digital) of agricultural tools showing the tool, its name and the activity it performs.
- Discuss how the correct choice of a tool makes farm work easier, faster and safer, using examples from their own communities.
